Hello, everyone! And goodbye! SHINYTRASH was tons of fun for me to update and maintain — and I had every intention of getting it back online, once I found a place to plug my scanner in — but it seems that all the scans I was intending to add have been released by other sites :[

...So there's really no reason to keep hanging around here, is there?

I'll leave a list of all the places that posted their own versions of the scans I was planning to upload myself, just in case you might need it. Additionally, I want to say BIG SUPER THANK YOU 100% WOW ♥ ♥ ♥ to the fellow fans who used my files. I'm glad I got the chance to participate in your wonderful projects, no matter how indirectly. I hope you enjoyed using the gallery as much as I did making it. SHINYTRASH really was one of my favorite sites, and I'm actually a little sad to be letting it go after all these years. But, c'est la vie:

» The Gallery @ Aethereality has the Kouga Yun artbook Your Eyes Only and all the CLAMP files.

» Ob-session has Mahouzaiku, the Lily Hoshino artbook. You can find it in the forums, after they've coerced you into repeatedly thanking them.

» Biblically Liquescent, or whomever they are, have Gashuu by Yonezoh. Which, incidentally, is bucketloads of hot and totally worth the hilariously inflated import price. Gashuu, I mean, not Erotically Passionate.

» Dangerous Pleasure have Hyakka Souen by Itsuki Kaname. Also hot (again, I mean the book).

» Eldar.org and The Third Tour @ TheOneRing.Net have most of the Tolkien.

» Most anime/manga galleries (like MiniTokyo) have HMC scans.

» The Gallery @ Ohtori.nu is still amazing.

In general, these are all good resources. Aethereality is particularly useful and popular, but when you're feeling lonely just remember that not even the most staunchly illiterate scanlator can fuck up textless images. As for me, I'm sure I'll buy lots of new commercial artwork from artists in Japan and the US in the future... but so will many of these other people. The internets trend toward bulk downloading now, and I am nothing if not a trend whore.
